This truly is the best BBQ around. They give you a massive amount of food, for a decent price. Beware of the spicier of the two bbq sauces, itll knock your socks off. I always opt for the mild sauce, but lately I've been loving it with no sauce. I get the triple meat bowl, with veggies and baked beans.
They even hook my dog up with some trimmings when I have him with me! -

Why this place went from a 4.5 rating to a 3 rating in my book!
Needs improvement!
When Best BBQ first opened up, it was amazing that SP finally had a BBQ place that tasted great at a great price! And they still have one of the best macaroni salad that I've tasted! I would always get a trip tip sandwich with medium rare meat and a side of macaroni salad for only $7!!! An unbeatable price! I stopped going for a bit and recently started going again just to find out they increased the price to $9! Not a big deal but by changing the price I'd hope to get bigger portions like more meat on my sandwich or more than a 4oz cup of macaroni. On the contrary I feel like I'm getting less meat on my sandwich, so what does "Best BBQ" have to offer now? I pass through 2 other BBQ places (in Ventura) on my way home from work at the same price with more meat on my sandwich and a bigger side and tastes better (in my opinion). I'd like to support our local business but help out the community as well! Don't take advantage that you guys don't have any close competition. -

I work in Moorpark which doesn't have that much food choices. It's got your typical fast food joints and a few gems, but not a ton of spots that really stand out. A now ex coworker lives in Santa Paula and suggested we try out his favorite bbq joint. There's a core group of us that order in every payday Friday. We decided to take his suggestion and tried this place.
He basically got food for the office the night before and kept everything refrigerated. Majority of the folks got the chicken & tri tip combo which I was told is the fan favorite. It was a hit. The meat was perfectly cooked. I couldn't even really say if it would've been better had we eaten it the night before. There was no difference with the quality. Pure deliciousness.
My combo order came with the meats as well as rice and veggies. Just the right amount of everything in my opinion. Their sauce is so damn good. I ate all my food as did everyone else. No leftovers for this funky bunch.
I'm so bummed my coworker quit. Now I have to take the time to hit up SP on my own time just to get a decent meal. -

I ordered the pork rib dinner, 6 bones, beans, bread and two sides $13. Fair price. I like to try the ribs with no sauce at first to judge the moisture and any seasoning they might use. The ribs were moist and a light, natural flavor, not much on the dry rub I don't think. They had a medium tug but were tender enough. I ordered with the mild bbq sauce which was a little thin for my liking but the flavor was spot on. The baked beans were excellent and perfect for dipping garlic break!! The other sides were macaroni salad and coleslaw but who eats that stuff? Lol. Would like to come back and try a few other items. Crew of 4 on a Saturday afternoon, friendly and all were busy! Worth a stop I would recommend

Amazing tri tip!! I love ordering the sandwich or the dinner plate. The meat is always well cooked and the sides included are a plus. I love their beans, especially the baked beans, but you can't go wrong with either. It's no wonder there's usually a line of people late afternoons and on weekends. A good local spot in Santa Paula if you are visiting or passing through. There is a small parking lot there but plenty of street parking wrapping around the building.
